The parameters of hatching of a cut/section or a detail section are configured using the elements located in the Hatch section of the Parameter Panel.
|
The Hatch pane is available upon creation of a view only. If it is required to edit the parameters of hatching later on, use the methods described below in subsection Changing hatch parameters in a view. |
Parameters of hatching can be received from solids and components of the model on whose base a view was built or are set manually. Select the required option using the Parameters from model toggle switch.
•If the toggle switch is in position I (enabled), then the parameters are taken from the model. In this case, each component or a solid can have its own parameters of hatching.
On the Parameter Panel, there is only the group of buttons Type, allowing to select the method of hatching display within boundaries (see table). Hatch type).
Specialties of using hatch set in the model are described below.
Hatch parameters configuration in the model...
•If the toggle switch is in position 0 (disabled), then all the hatching parameters are set manually. In this case, all the components and solids are hatched equally.
On the Parameter Panel, there appear additional elements for setting up the hatch parameters – Style, Color, Step, and Angle. The description of these elements is provided in Table Hatching display.
If the reference view was created from an assembly model, then on the Parameter Panel there is also a group of buttons Assembly Hatching, allowing you to choose the method for hatching adjacent parts — either in one direction
or with a 90° rotation
.
Notes on using hatch specified in a model
During creation of the associative views containing the hatch set in the model, the following should be considered.
•Parameters of hatchings of components and solids are transferred from model into the drawing once only – during creation of the first associative view. They are retained in the drawing and further can be used for creation of new associative views based on this model, i.e. hatching parameters for the same component or a solid will be identical on all associative views.
•During creation of subsequent associative views based on the same model, parameters of hatching are transferred into the drawing only for newly created components and solids for which these parameters are still missing in the drawing.
•Change of hatching parameters in the model does not result in their automatic update in views during re-building of the drawing.
To synchronize the parameters of model and drawing, use the Restore styles command (see section Managing styles of lines, points, and hatch).
Changing hatch parameters in a view
You can change hatch parameters using the following methods.
•Select the required hatching and make the required changes using the elements of the Parameter Toolbar.
•Select the required hatch or hatches (they can be in different associative views) and invoke the Change Style... command from the context menu or the Edit menu. On the screen, a dialog of changing the styles of hatchings will appear. Change of hatching parameters is performed on the Hatches tab.
You can follow these steps.
•mark the hatch styles to be replaced, select and configure the replacement hatching style (the replacement style can be the same as the one being replaced, but with different parameters, for example, with a reduced/increased step),
•enable the application of the replacement style not only to the selected hatches, but also to the bodies corresponding to these hatchings in general, due to which the hatching of these bodies changes in a similar way in other cuts and sections (even if it was not selected before calling the dialog).

•To pass hatch parameters set in the model into a view, you can use the Restore styles command. In this case, the parameters of hatching, lines and points in the view are synchronized with the model (see section Managing styles of lines, points, and hatch). •If it is required to change not all the hatch parameters, but only its style, select it from the dropdown list on the Context Bar. |
