To calculate CMP for a 2D shape you need to set its boundaries; while calculation of CMP for a revolved or extruded solid you need to set the cross-section boundaries of the solid. There are several ways to set the boundaries.

If the document has closed contours (ellipses, circles, splines, etc.) that limit the shape or section of the solid, then such contours need to be set. This method is used by default, i.e. after calling the CMP calculation command the system will wait for setting the contour. The selected boundary may be excluded from the calculation group. To do this, just select the boundary once again.

If you want to specify a contour formed by a set of geometric objects or their parts as a boundary, click the button Build contour on the Parameters Panel. The corresponding subprocess will launch.

If the boundaries of the shape or cross-section of the solid involved in the CMP calculation do not exist in the drawing, you can build a temporary broken line. To do this, click the Build Polyline button on the Parameter Panel subprocess.
