Assigning values to custom variables |

Values of custom variables can be assigned using Variables toolbar or dialogue Versions control.
The Variables toolbar is used to set the values of custom variables of the current. version.

If the model contains properties created from custom variables, you can use Property Editor to set the values of variables of the current version. |
Follow these steps to assign custom variable values for versions:
1.Invoke the command Version control

A dialogue Versions control,a page Versions will be opened in it .
2.Select the custom variable for assigning the value. To do so, press Insert Variable
button on the Manager toolbar. This option opens the dialog Variables, containing a list of variables of the current version.
If the desired custom variable is included in the list of variables of another model version, select the designation of this version from the Variation dropdown list.
Select the required custom variable in the list of variables and click Paste button. Dialog Variables will close. A column appears in the Document manager table, the column header contains the name of the selected variable. The property from the selected variable is automatically created in the document (see section Properties Created on the Basis of Variables). This property is included in the document property set and can be edited on Parameter Toolbar or in Property editor.

If a property from the desired variable has already been created in the document, you don't need to use the variable selection dialog. Configure the display of a column with the values of this property.. More about setting... |
3.The cells of the resulting column are available for both independent and dependent model versions. Enter the required values in the cells.
Note that the change in the value of a variable made for version is transferred to its dependent versions that have the same value for this variable.
4.To have the model rebuilt in accordance with the changes made before finishing the dialog, click the button Rebuild
.
5.Click OK to close Document manager.
