Properties of a Drawing/Fragment, View/Fragment Insertion, Macro-element |

You can edit the drawing (fragment) properties, as well as properties of its objects: view insertion (for a drawing), fragment insertion, macro-element.
To change the required object’s properties, run the relevant property editing command and perform the required actions using the Parameter Panel controls.
•Document Properties
— editing properties of the drawing/fragment.
•View/Fragment Insertion Properties — editing properties of image insertion from another drawing view or of an external fragment insertion.
The command is run in the view/fragment insertion context menu in the graphic area or in the drawing/fragment Design Tree.
•Macroelement properties — editing properties of a macro-element.
The command is run in the macro-element context menu in the drawing/fragment Design Tree.
After running a property edit command, a list of the drawing/fragment properties appears in the Parameter Panel. It allows you to change property values of the object which the command was aimed at.
The property list contains the system and advanced properties of the current document that are enabled to be displayed.
You can enable/disable display of a property in the list. To do this, click Property List Settings button
and enable/disable the option in the row of the required property in the Property List Settings dialog that appears.
You can do the same in the Property Managementdialog opened by clicking the button with the same name
on the Parameter Panel. This dialog allows to manage properties display in the list and to edit the set of properties of the current document.
The list of properties is displayed as a table. Property values are contained in the Value column cells. You can use these cells to change property values (cells which can be edited have a white background). Ways of setting values of various properties are described in Sections System Properties and Additional Properties.
If you want to delete a set value, select the cell with this value and click Delete Value button
.
Values of some properties can be obtained by reference or from source.
Including macro-elements, view and fragment insertions into BOM
When working with properties of a macro-element or a view/fragment insertion, the Include into BOM option is available on the Parameter Panel.
It allows you to transfer property values of the product constituent part which the edited object corresponds to into the BOM.
If this option is enabled, the row containing the constituent part information will appear in the BOM. You can check it by entering the Subordinate mode of operation with BOM objects or by linking the drawing to the BOM. More details on creating a BOM based on data contained in the document...
Controls for managing an associative drawing properties
If a drawing contains associative views, then the Connect to Model Properties toggle switch is displayed in the Parameter Panel in addition to the property list.
•If the toggle switch is set to I (enabled), values of certain properties are transferred to the drawing from the model. They are used for filling the title block of the drawing and for setting a majority surface finish sign. The list of transferred properties is given in section Model Properties in an Associative Drawing.
On the Parameter Panel, the enabled option is displayed in each transferred property’s row. If you want to disable transfer of a property, disable the option in this property’s row. In this case, the value transferred from the model will be preserved in the drawing but the connection with the model will be lost. More details on property management in the list...
In addition to the toggle switch and the property list, the Parameter Panel displays a list of source models of properties. It is used to select the model from which properties will be transferred. More details on working with the list of models...
•If the toggle switch is set to 0 (disabled), you have to set property values in the drawing. The list of source models is not available in the Parameter Panel.
When the Connect to model properties toggle switch is enabled, the Receive data for specification option which controls the transfer of BOM items from the model into the drawing is also available on the Parameter Panel. Details...
Completing changes of properties
To complete changes of an object’s properties, click Create Object
button in the Parameter Panel header.

The change of the fragment/drawing properties will only apply to the document in which it was made. Newly created documents will have default properties. The change of an object’s properties will only apply to this object. Newly created objects will have default properties. |
If you want to discard the changes, click Finish button
