You can set the display of dimensions, symbols and captions in the model in the Display of Dimensions and symbols section of the setting dialog box.
To access the section, call the command Settings — Parameters... 
and in the dialog box that appears, select System — Model editor — Dimensions and symbols.

Optimize display |
The option controls the display of dimensional captions and texts as part of the symbols. •If this option is enabled, you can choose the layout of the dimension labels (see below). The font height of the dimensional captions and the label text does not change when you change the scale of the model display. Dimensional parameters in the sketch (length of arrows, out of dimension lines, etc.) also do not change when you change the scale. •If this option is disabled, the dimensional captions are displayed in the dimensioning planes. The font height of the dimension inscription and the text of the label changes according to the scale of the model display. The designation text is displayed in the designation creation plane regardless of the state of the Optimize display option. |

Place captions and dimensional captions |
A drop-down list that allows you to select the layout of labels and dimension captions. The following options are available: •In the label plane; •In the screen plane horizontally; •In the screen plane. |

Show the sizes of sketches and operations |
If this option is enabled, sketch and operation sizes will be displayed on the screen when creating or editing an operation (see section Sketch and operation sizes). |

Show connector lines |
If this option is enabled, the connector lines of the defined sizes (e.g. projection lines or lines that conventionally show the measured object) will be displayed on the screen. |

Note that optimizing the display of sizes and captions does not apply to printing model images. The model is printed as it appears on the screen when Optimize display is disabled. |
To finalize the settings for displaying sizes, designations and captions in the model, click Apply and close the dialog box. To exit the dialog without changing the settings, click Cancel button.
