To access the section, invoke the Settings — Parameters... command and in the dialog box that appears, select  System — Model editor — View control.

Controls in the model image settings section

Element

Setting description

Step of moving the model image, % of the window

The field for entering the value of moving the model image in the graphics area when pressing the key that moves the image once. Move step is set as a percentage of the graphic area size.

For example, after entering the value 25 in this field, pressing the key <→> will shift the image to the right by a quarter (25%) of the graphic area width.

Step of model rotation angle, deg.

Field for entering the value of model rotation in the graphics area when you press once the keyboard combination that rotates the part. The step of movement is set in degrees.

For example, after entering the value 15° in this field, pressing the combination <Ctrl>+<→> will rotate the model around the vertical axis to the right by 15°..

Scale factor

Field for input of zooming in or zooming out of the image in the graphic area. The image scale is changed by pressing the keyboard combination <Ctrl>+<+> and <Ctrl>+<-> respectively or by a single rotation of the mouse wheel.

For example, after entering the value 1.5 in this field by pressing the combination <Ctrl>+<-> the linear dimensions of the image will be reduced by

one and

a half times.

Transparency

The drop-down list allows you to select the way of displaying transparent objects (faces, components, surfaces, etc.).

The degree of transparency of an object is set when configuring its properties (see settings object display: color, optical properties, texture). The default value of the Transparency parameter is 0%, i.e. all objects are created opaque. Transparency can be increased if necessary.

100% transparency means that the object will be invisible.

The following ways of displaying transparent objects in the model are available:

Mesh
Mesh transparency means that the area occupied on the screen by a transparent object is filled with individual pixels. The color of pixels corresponds to the color of the object at zero transparency. Pixels are placed on the screen, forming a regular structure — a grid. «Grid cells», i.e. areas where pixels of a transparent object are absent, are larger, the larger the value of the Transparency parameter is for this object.

Realistic

Realistic transparency means that the display of transparent model objects is close to what objects made of transparent material actually look like.

Realistic transparency requires more hardware resources than mesh transparency and therefore slows down a model containing transparent objects. This slowdown is especially severe in combination with the Compatible rendering option.

After completing the settings, click the dialog box Apply and close. To exit the dialog box without changing the settings, click Cancel.
