Setting description

Display quality

The drop-down list allows you to select the level of display quality .Affects the quality of representation of inserted bitmaps and the speed of redrawing the document containing such inserts, when zooming, shifting, etc.
Select an option from the list:

Standard (default value) - optimal for most systems and most cases of bitmap image inserts. Provides good quality display of inserts and good performance.

Low — allows to improve system performance in case of slowdowns when working with a document that contains many inserts of "heavy" (i.e. large in size and/or with high resolution) raster images. At the same time, it is possible that the raster images in the document may deteriorate: reduction of clarity, loss of fine details or thin lines.

High — choosing this option is justified if the vast majority of documents created and edited on a given workstation do not cause performance problems, and if you need to get the highest achievable display quality for all raster images inserted into the documents.

File type when editing

The drop-down list allows you to select the format in which the graphic information should be presented during editing raster images embedded in a graphic document.

Selecting an editing program

The drop-down list allows you to select a program for editing drawings. The following options are available:

According to file type — to edit drawings will run the program that is mapped in Windows to the file type selected from the File Type list during editing.

Other... — another program will be launched to edit drawings. Immediately after selecting this option, the standard file selection dialog starts. The full path to the program file is displayed in the view field. The specified program must support the file type selected in the File Typelist during editing.

Maintain the original image resolution

Enable this option to ignore the change of drawing resolution as a result of editing.

Some programs, for example, MSPaint, when saving images that do not have resolution information (when inserting such drawings into a KOMPAS document, their resolution can be set arbitrarily), automatically assign a certain resolution to them.

After completing the settings, click the dialog box Apply and close. To exit the dialog box without changing the settings, click Cancel.
