Draw simplified is used when the current image scale becomes too small to show the document in detail. The settings for simplified display of objects on the screen are configured in the Draw simplified section of setting dialog box. To access the section, call the Settings — Parameters... and in the dialog box that appears, select System — Graphic editor — Draw simplified.

Setting description

The minimum height of text line,
displayed on the screen, mm

The field allows you to set the minimum height of text characters (in millimeters), at which they will be displayed on the screen. If the height of the text on the screen becomes less than the set value, the caption will be drawn as an oversized rectangle.

The value in the field is entered manually or selected from a predefined list.

The scale at which lines are displayed as solid
and arrows are not shown

This field allows you to set the image scale, at which the draw simplified of lines will be performed (all lines will be drawn as solid lines and arrows will not be shown)..

The value in the field is entered manually or selected from a predefined list.

Sketch out dimensional rectangles instead of

The group of options allows to draw dimensional rectangles instead of bitmap objects and OLE-objects, Enable the options corresponding to the required object types. The options apply only to newly created objects.

Enabling drawing of dimensioned rectangles instead of bitmaps and OLE-objects reduces document loading time.

Hide objects less than 2 pixels

Enabling this option means that all geometric objects that are less than two pixels in size at the current scale will be hidden. When you zoom in or increase the size of the objects themselves, they will appear.

Hiding small objects increases productivity in rich drawings, but in some cases it may be necessary to disable this option. For example, if a drawing contains an image of a relatively large model element formed by many small graphic objects, it will stop showing on the screen at a certain zoom level. This will not happen if you disable hiding objects smaller than 2 pixels.

Always draw the fill with the set color

Enabled option means that all fills in documents are displayed in the colors specified for them, regardless of the state of the layers and views on which they are located. If the option is disabled, only fills on the current layer are displayed with their own colors, and other fills take the colors of the layers or views that contain them.

Note that this setting applies to printing documents and saving them in bitmap format. For example, if a color set for a view has been selected for drawing output, then if Always draw fill with the set color is enabled, the fills will be printed with their own colors, and if disabled — they will be printed with the colors of the views they are in.

When the simplified draw settings are complete, click the dialog box Apply and close. To exit the dialog box without saving changes, click Cancel.
