You can choose how to call help in the dialog box Help of setting dialog box. To access the section, call the Settings — Parameters... 
and in the dialog box that appears, select System — General — Help.
The dialog box contains a single option — Use online help.
Enabled option means that when accessing the help while working with the KOMPAS-3D it will be retrieved from the Internet.
Disabled option means that when you access Help, the local version of Help, i.e. the one on your hard disk, will be invoked. The files required for the local version of the help are present on the computer, if the installation KOMPAS-3D the installation of Local help has been enabled KOMPAS-3D. In case of installation KOMPAS-3D without the specified component, the local version of the help cannot be used: a message about this will appear on the screen when you try to call the help..
The selected method of invoking help also applies to those of KOMPAS-3D applications that have online help. If the application has only local help, it will be called regardless of the settings.
Having completed the settings, click the dialog box Apply and close. To exit the dialog without changing the settings, click the Cancel button.

The status of the Use online help option is not recorded in the system parameter file (*.pfl). |

Information about the currently selected method of invoking help is stored in the file C:\ProgramData\ASCON\HelpServer\config.xml. If the current user does not have sufficient permissions to edit this file (or if the file is not writable for some reason), the Use online help option cannot be changed. |
