Update the design of the documents |

Updating the design of text and graphic documents and BOM styles is configured in the section Update document format of setting dialog box.
To access the section, call the command Settings — Parameters... 
and in the dialog box that appears, select System — General — Update document format.

Update document format |
A drop-down list that allows you to select how to update the paperwork. The following options are available: •Do not update or report changes — automatic updating of the document design will not be performed. The document will be displayed with the implemented design. If necessary, you can manually update the design (see section Rereading the design). •Do not update, but report changes — will display messages about changes between the design implemented in the document and the corresponding design in the *.lyt library. No update will be performed. •Update without confirmation — updating of the design embedded in the document will be performed automatically when differences between it and the corresponding design in the *.lyt library are detected. No confirmation will be requested. •Update with confirmation — confirmation will be requested before updating the design embedded in the document. When using automatic update, it is recommended to include a confirmation request to reduce the risk of accidentally distorting the design of documents created using a *.lytlibrary other than the current one. |

Automatically update the BOM style |
The option is used to control automatic updating of specification styles embedded in specification documents, as well as in drawings and assemblies that have BOM descriptions .By default, the option is enabled — the BOM style in the document is automatically updated when it is opened. If automatic updating is disabled, the specification can be updated manually. |
After completing the settings, click the dialog box Apply and close. To exit the dialog box without changing the settings, click Cancel.

Update the design (style) of already opened documents is updated according to the settings in effect when they were opened. Therefore, for a change to an update setting (for example, enabling automatic updates) to take effect, you must close the documents and reopen them. |
