Command «Change the position of components» |
Scroll |
Use Change the position of components
command to move and/or rotate components .
Procedure
1.In the Model Tree or the graphics area, select the components whose positions you want to change. The component names are displayed in the Components field.
When selecting components, keep the following in mind.
•Fixed components and components with Simplified load mode cannot be selected or moved.
•When you select a subassembly component to move, the entire subassembly is selected. Components of a movable subassembly can be selected individually.
2.Select the component for which you want to set the operation parameters in the Components field. By default, the first component in the list is selected.
|
If the position of multiple components changes at once, they move and/or rotate together with the component selected in the Components field (the relative positions of the components are preserved). Whether components can be moved and/or rotated depends on the conditions matings, applied to each component of the group. Conjugations may completely or partially prevent a component from changing position or, conversely, cause not only the selected components to change position, but also those components that were not specified. |
3.Select a method for repositioning components. To do this, click the corresponding button in the Method group on the Options Panel.
The corresponding controls are displayed on the Options Panel for each method. Once you set the parameters, the position of the components will change.
4.You can check for collisions between components and other objects. Use the Collision Detection toggle in the Parameters Panel to do this. Learn more about collision detection...
5.To confirm the change in the components' positions, click the Create Object button
.
6.To finish the task, click the Finish button
.
