Selecting curves and edges based on conditions
To select a chain of curves and/or edges connected by tangents, set the Tangent curves and edges
condition on the Quick Access Panel and specify the curve or edge that is part of the chain.
The following will be selected: the specified curve/edge itself; curves and edges connected to it smoothly or tangentially; subsequent curves and edges similarly connected to the selected ones.
Thus, the entire sequence of curves and edges connected smoothly or tangentially on both sides of the specified object is automatically selected—up to the first vertex where more than two curves/edges are connected smoothly or tangentially. Curves and edges that are not tangent are not considered. For example, if three segments are joined to an arc vertex, only one of which is tangent, then selecting the arc will select both the arc and the tangent segment. If two of the three segments are tangent to the arc, then only the arc itself will be selected.
The angular tangency tolerance at which curves/edges are considered suitable for selection is configurable.

When selecting edges, keep in mind that they must belong to the same face and share a common vertex. |
The selected curves and edges are combined into a set. The set name includes the selection criteria for the curves and edges and the number of elements in the set. Learn more about sets of curves and edges...
