Setting description

Create an object in dependent versions and variants

If this option is enabled, creating a new object in the source version will create an identical object in all its dependent versions and variants of representation. If this option is disabled, no new object will be created in the dependent versions and view variants.

In an assembly, this option also applies to the addition of components to these versions and variants that are identical to those added to the original version.

Create a variable in dependent versions and variants

If this option is enabled, creating a new user variable in the source instance will create an identical user variable in all of its dependent instances and variants (including both variants of representation and composition variants). If the option is disabled, a new user variable is not created in the dependent instances and variants.

Once you have finished configuring the settings, click the Apply and Close button. To close the dialog without saving the changes, click the Cancel button.
