Requirements for the contour and its impact on the construction result |
Scroll |
The curves defining the contour of the terrain must be connected to one another and projected onto the selected face, and their projections must form a closed contour (or contours).
The resulting contours may be nested within one another. There is no limit to the number of nesting levels.
The results of the relief construction based on the contour are presented in the table.
Relief formation based on the contour
Features of the circuit |
Result of the construction |
One or more closed contours |
A relief boundary consists of one or more distinct areas |
Intersecting closed contours |
A relief boundary is the union of the regions bounded by these contours |
Nested closed contours with a nesting level of 1 |
A relief boundary is the area between two nested contours |
Nested closed contours with a nesting level greater than 1 |
The boundaries of the relief are regions nested within one another |
The closed contour extends beyond the boundary |
The relief is trimmed by the edges of the face |

If projecting curves onto a face results in multiple contours, some of which are open, the relief will be constructed using only the closed contours. Once the operation is complete, a warning icon will appear next to the relief icon in the Design Tree
