Lock the Component from Being Edited

Scroll

By default, all assembly components are available for editing, but you can lock any component from being edited, if required.

If editing is locked, the set of actions you can perform with such component is restricted. For example, you cannot edit, move, explode this component or change its load type, etc. (for details about features of such components, see section Notes on Working with Components Locked from Being Editing).

You can lock editing:

for every component manually using special commands (see section Disabling of editing the model objects);

as a result of applying a custom load type that contains information on locked editing (to learn about selecting load types, see section Select Assembly Load Mode).

During your work with the assembly, you can lock and unlock components from being edited an unlimited number of times.

You can save the state of the model that accounts for access differentiation to component editing in the assembly custom load type when you create or update.

Components added to the assembly after applying a password protected load type, in other custom load types will be automatically locked from being edited.
