Reference file of densities |
Scroll |
In calculations of CMP for revolved and extruded solids, you don’t have to enter the value of material density manually but select it from a special reference file.
The same file can be used for selection of material, a substitute material, and coating while setting up the model properties. In this case, selection of material allows to not only set the density, but also the pre-defines style of hatching (system or user-defined) displayed on cuts/sections in associative views of drawings.
Names of materials and the matching values of density, as well as links to styles of hatches, are stored in the file Graphic.dns, located in the subfolder \Sys of the main folder KOMPAS-3D.
The file Graphic.dns is an editable text file.
Sections in the file are opened and closed with the characters "{" and "}", respectively. The name of the section should be on the same line, as the opening parenthesis. Sections may be nested. Spaces are not significant characters, nor affect subsequent display of rows in the reference dialog on the screen.
Below is a fragment of the file Graphic.dns which describes the Metalssection containing two subsections – Aluminum alloys and Bronzes.
{ Metals
{ Aluminum alloys
AD0 GOST 4784-97 = 2.71 | 0
AD1 GOST 4784-97 = 2.71 | 0
D1 GOST 4784-97 = 2.80 | 0
}
{ Bronzes
BrAZh9-4 GOST 18175-78 = 7.50 | 0
BrAZhMts10-3-1.5 GOST 18175-78 = 7.60 | 0
BrKMts3-1 GOST 18175-78 = 8.40 | 0
}
The user can edit the file of densities, for example, by changing the entries in the lines or adding new ones.
A line in the file of densities is formed as per the following rule:
<Material designation> = <material density> | <file name> | <number>
Material designation – an entry which is displayed in the material properties.
Density – a numerical value of density in g/cm3.
File Name – the file name of the library containing the hatch style in one of the variants:
•full,
•briefly, if the file is located in the subfolder \Sys of the main folder KOMPAS-3D,
•the file name is missing, if the style is system.
Number – the style number in dash style library, or the number of system style.
|– a sign of separator.
Examples of lines with the full, brief file names and unnamed files are provided below.
Polystyrene = 1.06 | d:\work\styles.lhs | 501
Polystyrene = 1.06 | graphic.lhs | 25
Polystyrene = 1.06 | 1
