Building centerlines

By default, circles are constructed without centerlines.

To create a circle with centerlines, enable the option With Axes. Axes appear on the circle phantom, drawn along the directions of the current coordinate system.

Centerlines are a systemic macro-element – center mark. Center mark is not linked to the circle and is not rebuilt during its further editing (changing parameters or position).

You can also add axes to a circle with the command Center mark.

While working in parametric mode, the center mark is created linked with the circle.

Line Style Selection

The current line style is displayed in the field of the same name in the Parameter Toolbar. To change the style, expand the list Style and select the desired line. More details on line style selection...

Remembering parameters

When sequentially building circles that have a number of identical parameters, the values of these parameters (common center, same radius, etc.) can be remembered until the command is completed. To do this, specify the parameter values common for the objects, click the Remember Status button, and then continue building. More information about remembering parameters...

Example 1. Construction of several circles going through one common point.

1.Call the 3 Pts Circle command.

2.Pick a common point through which the circles will pass.

3.Click Remember Status.

4.Sequentially specify the second and third points lyingon the circles.

Example 2. Create multiple circles which are tangent to the same object.

1.Call the Circle tangent to curve command.

2.Pick the curve that the circles should touch.

3.Click  Remember Status.

4.Sequentially build the required quantity of the circles tangential to the given curve.
