Replacing a component with its mirrored version |

Mirrored version A model with components can contain both mirrored versions of components and their original versions. It depends on the setting made for the components when creating the version (see sections Mirroring parameters and Selecting the result of component mirroring). A mirrored version of a model contains the following:
•mirror version of a component, if the Mirroring of component procedure with the resulting operation of Create mirrored version (the default option for all components except standard items) is selected when creating a version.
•original version of the component, if the Symmetric component placement or Mirroring of component procedure with the resulting operation Display component in mirrored view is selected when creating the version.
You can replace the original version of the component with a mirrored version and vice versa using the Replace with mirrored version command. The command can be found in the context menu of the component in the Design Tree, if the link between the components of the mirrored and source versions is preserved.
If a check mark is displayed next to the command name in the menu, then the model version contains the mirrored version of the component. After invoking the command the check mark disappears, and the component mirrored version is replaced with its mirrored original version.
If there is no check mark next to the command name, then the model version includes the original version of the component. After invoking the command it is replaced with a mirrored version, and the command is marked with a check mark.

Note that this command is not available in the context menu of a component obtained using the Mirroring of component method with the resulting operation Save mirrored component in file, since in this case the component is a separate model, but not a version of the original component. |
Notes on using the command
•When replacing the original version with the mirrored version:
•If the original version of the component is placed symmetrically, then after invoking the command the component placing method changes automatically.
•If there’s no mirrored version of the component in the document, then the error sign appears after invoking the command in the Design Tree. To correct the error, create a mirrored version of the component in its source file, or use the original component version.
•When you return to the original version of the component, all the mirroring settings made for this component in the process of creating the mirrored model version are restored.
