Changing the reflection parameters is available for the component of mirrored version when the following conditions are met:

the component obtained by the Symmetric component placement or Mirroring of Component methods with the resulting Display component in mirrored view operation (see sections Mirroring parameters, Selecting the result of component mirroring and Configuring position of a component with symmetrical placement,

the link between the component and the similar component of the original version is preserved.

To configure the reflection parameters of a component call the Place component command from its context menu. The Parameter Toolbar will display the settings for mirroring of the selected component. The toolbar elements depend displayed depend on the specified reflection parameters.

If the link between the mirror version of the component and the source component is disabled, then after calling the Place Component command, the process of placing model components starts (see section Changing Position of a Component).

The Method buttons group is used for selecting the component reflection method:

Mirror,

Place symmetrically.

In both cases the component is another insertion of the original component: in the former case it’s the mirrored insertion, while in the latter case it’s the symmetrical insertion.

If the Place symmetrically method is selected, the component position setting elements will be displayed on the Parameter Panel.

The position of the component is determined relative to the plane/center of symmetry of the source component or the base component.

Select the position setting option. For this purpose click one of the following buttons in the Position group.

Standard
A predefined list of source component objects appears on the Parameter Toolbar; these objects can be used to determine the position of the component in the mirrored version. Lines of the list are generated according to the following pattern: <Variant number><Object type><Object position>.

By Object
In the graphic area, the Source model window of source component (In this window, you can manually select the object to use for calculating the position of the component in the mirrored version). The name of the selected object is displayed in the Object field on the Parameter Panel.

By base component
The Base component field is displayed on the Parameter Panel. The base component is selected in the Design Tree or in the graphic range of the model.
The base component means the component serving the reference for saving the position of the component placed. A mirrored version component located on the same level with the component being placed and obtained by the Symmetric component placement method can be selected as the base component. The name of the selected component appears in the corresponding field.

When the placement parameters of a component change, the position of its phantom in the graphic area changes too.

To complete modifying the parameters, click the Create Object button on the Parameter Panel header.
