If when creating model section, in the Method group the Rotated Plane  button is pressed, then to configure the placement parameters of the section plane, perform the following actions.

1.Specify the base plane.

If the current step is the first cutting step, specify a flat object in the Design Tree or in the graphic range. The name of the selected object is displayed in the Plane field on the Parameter Panel.

If the current step is one of the next cutting steps, there is the Base plane group of elements on the Parameter Panel. Select the method of defining the base plane and select the desired object. To do this, set the Model plane/Previous step section plane toggle switch to the required position:

Model plane – select plane or flat facet as a base plane. The name of the selected object will appear in the Plane field.

Plane of previous step section – the system chooses the section plane defined in one of the previous cutting steps as the base plane. To configure the cutting step expand the Step selection list and select the required line. The list contains all previous cutting steps, created in the current section, except for steps with names containing (!) symbols, and steps whose parameters are set in a specific way. Box or Zone.

2.Define the straight-line object intersecting with the plane. To do this, in the Design Tree or in the graphic range, specify a straight object (edge or axis) lying in the base plane or a plane parallel to it. The name of the selected object will appear in the Axis field.

A section plane phantom appears in the graphic range. It passes through the selected axis parallel to the base plane (or coincides with this plane). The cutting direction is indicated with a blue arrow, while the plane of rotation is indicated with an arc.

3.In the Angle field set the angle of rotation of the plane around the selected axis.

The section plane can be rotated manually using an arc showing the plane of rotation:

arbitrary angle – drag the arc with the mouse,

specified angle – click the arc and enter the rotation angle value in the field that appears.

To set the rotation angle of the plane, you can use commands of geometrical calculator.

4.The cutting direction can be changed to the opposite by clicking Change direction to the right of the Distance field.

5.If required you can configure the orientation of the model so that the section plane is parallel to the screen plane. To that end, the View of section plane  button is used.
