To add an unclosed geometric object existing in the document to the baseline of the multiline, click By Object in the Segment Type button group.

Specify the object to add to the baseline. To do this, move the cursor to it. When the object is highlighted, click the left mouse button. A phantom of a new multiline segment will appear in the graphics area.

The Delete source objects option allows you to specify whether to delete the object on which the multiline segment is built, or not. When this option is on, the original object will be deleted immediately after the segment is created; if it is disabled, it will remain in the document.

You can add several series-connected objects to the baseline. These objects should be specified in the order of their location.

If there are already segments in a multiline, then adding an object is possible provided that the ending vertex of the last segment coincides with the starting or ending point of the object being added.

Bezier curve, spline and broken line are added to the baseline as a whole. In this case, the Bezier curve or spline curve is added by one segment, and a broken line – in the form of several segments, the number of which is equal to the number of broken line segments.

If an existing multiline is specified as the object, then all segments of the specified multiline will be added to the baseline with the methods of passing the corner near the vertices.
