To set the parameters of the wavy line, the elements used in the Additional parameters sector are used.

Methods of building a wavy line
The wavy line can be built by the number of half-waves and by the wavelength.
To select the required method, the Number of Half-waves/Wavelength toggle switch is used.
•To build a wavy line by the number of half-waves, set the toggle switch to the Number of half-waves position. In the Value field under the toggle switch, an integer number of half-waves is input.
On change of the length of the middle line (the distance between the initial and final points of the wavy line), the number of half-waves remains equal to the given value, but the wavelength changes. The current wavelength is calculated as a quotient of the current length of the middle line divided by the number of waves (half the set number of half-waves).
•To build a wavy line by the wavelength, set the toggle switch to the Wavelength position. The Value field accepts the rated wavelength as input, and the actual wavelength is displayed – a value closest to the rated wavelength at which an integer number of half-waves is fitted at the current length of the middle line.
The actual wavelength is calculated as a doubled distance between the initial and final points of the middle line divided by the number of half-waves. If you enter into the Value field a value exceeding the doubled distance between initial and final points of the wavy line is input, then the actual wavelength is regarded equal to this doubled distance between the ends of the wavy line, and the number of half-waves is regarded equal to 1.
On change of the length of the middle line, there changes both the number of half-waves and the actual wavelength. At the same time, the number of half-waves is always integer, and the actual wavelength fluctuates near the rated wavelength.
You can switch between the methods of creation at any time. The value of parameter will be recalculated and displayed in the Value field.
Wave amplitude is the distance between the middle line and a wave point which is the most distant from it. Amplitude can be set in relative or absolute units.
The method of a setting an amplitude is selected using the Units of amplitude group of buttons. The value for the selected method is input into the Value field.
The following options are available:
Percentages — according to the ratio between the amplitude and the wavelength (current or actual — depending on the design method).
Millimeters – by the absolute distance between the midline and the point of the wave which is maximally remote from it.
On changing the units for setting the amplitude, the value in the Value field is recalculated.
