Purpose of "uncuttable" components |
Scroll |
Some model components, such as shafts, fasteners, etc., must be shown as whole on sections and cuts (including detail) — even though these components are placed in the cutting plane.
Display of components on cuts/sections depends on the value of the property Dissect at cuts. The value of this property — Yes or No — is assigned to the component when working with the model. Details...
In the drawing, you can change display of an component at a specific cut /section – to make the component "unsplittable" and vice versa.
This change is available to any cut/section of a model. It is not transferred into the source-model and does not affect the image of an component at other cuts/sections. The component shown on several cuts/sections may be shown as cut on some cuts/sections, and as whole — on others.
To show the component as whole on the cut/section, use the Do not cut
. The "unsplittable" component is marked in the Design Tree with the
sign.
To display the component as cut on the section/cut, use the Cut
command.
The Do not Cut/Split command can be invoked:
•In the graphic area — in a cut or section, select any geometric object belonging to the component projection, and call the from the context menu or the context panel.
•in the Drawing Tree — expand the branch for the desired cut or section, select the component and call the command from the context menu or the context panel.

The Do Not Cut/Cut commands are available not only for individual components but also for the model containing them. When you change the display option in this case, please note the following: •If the option Cut is selected for the model (this is the default option for all models), its components are displayed according to the settings made for them in the model file or in the drawing, i.e., they can be either cut or whole; •If the option Do not cut is selected for the model, all its components are displayed whole and it is impossible to make any of them cut. •When switching from the option Do not cut to the option Cut, the components of the model do not all become cut but instead are displayed as they were before selecting the Do not cut option for the model. |
