To give an idea of the interior structure of a product, it is depicted on some views of the drawing without showing some components.

During creation of an associative view of the model with components, the display of components depends on the following factors:

status of components in the model (visible/hidden),

Option states Hidden in the group Transferred Components, located on the Parameters tab of the setup dialog View. If the option is enabled, then the components hidden in the model are transferred to the drawing as visible. If the option is disabled, then the components hidden in the model are hidden as well in the associative view of the drawing.

Changing the status of components in the model and the status of the option in the View affects only newly created views.

If you need to disable display of the component in the already created view, use the Hide component command. This command can be invoked:

in the graphic area — select a geometric object belonging to the desired component, and call the  command from the context menu or the contextual panel;

in the Drawing Tree — expand the branch for the view where the image of the component should be disabled, select that component and call the  command from the context menu or the context toolbar. Also you can click the icon Visible in the Tree.

To enable displaying of a component in an existing view, use the Show Component command which is invoked in the Drawing Tree from the context menu or from the context panel of the component. Also, you can click the icon Extinguished in the Tree.

Using the context menu command, you can hide/show several components simultaneously, including in different views, and only one component — if using the context bar command or the icon in the Tree.

Step-by-step instructions

1.Select the components which you want to hide or show.

2.Run the Hide Component/Show Component command. The views containing the images of these components will be marked in the Drawing Design Tree with the symbol , indicating that the drawing needs to be rearranged.

3.Press the <F5> key or the Rearrange button on the Quick Access Toolbar. More details on rebuilding the drawing...

The image in the drawing is rebuilt, and the visibility icons of components in the Tree change ( to and vice versa).

Disabling the image of an component on one of the view does not affect the display of the component in others views of the drawing in any way.

If the display of a component is enabled, then its objects and detailing elements are displayed in a view as per the setup performed on the Objects Parameter Panel (see section Objects and Detailing elements).
