If in most of created associative views the same set of objects is displayed and the same parameters of drawing are used, then running the setup of objects, detailing elements and lines for each view is not reasonable. In this case, you can configure the current document so that in its associative views the necessary objects and the required lines are displayed by default. For this, the View dialog is used, which is invoked by the Settings — Parameters... command. — Current drawing — Document parameters — View.
The dialog contains several tabs. The elements of parameters setup of each tab are described below.
On completion of the setup of the options of a new view, press the OK button. Click Cancel to discard all changes and close the dialog box.
|
The parameters set on setup of the current drawing will be applied only to newly created views; parameters of views created before any changes to the setting will remain the same. |
Parameters Tab
Allows to configure the default settings of creation of views of the drawing.

Description of setting |
|
Scale |
Into the fields, enter the scale which will be by default used during creation of Arbitrary and Standard associative views, as well as during creation of all non-associative views. The scale can be set in the form of a ratio of any numbers. It is also possible to select the scale of a view from a standard row. To that end, press the button located between the fields for scale entry. From the menu that appears, select the required scale. |
|
Enable this option so that the cell Scale in the title block of the drawing is inserted. Link to the scale of the first view created by the user. The reference is generated only if there are no views other than the system view in the drawing at the time the view is created. With the option disabled, in the Scale cell of the title block of a new drawing the "1:1" label is displayed, if the Create new view option is enabled, or the scale of the created view, if it is enabled. In any case, the value of scale is the regular text. During editing of the title block, you can create a reference manually, or modify the available reference by specifying another source view of the value of scale, or to replace the reference with plain text. |
||
Include in the caption the scale different from the one specified in the main caption |
Enable this option so that the scale of the view being created be automatically added into it, if it is different from the scale specified in the title block of the drawing. If the option is disabled, then scale is not included into the view caption. If necessary, during creation/editing of a view the user can manually both enable and disable addition of scale into the caption. Note that this setting works only during creation of a view. Change of scale of the existing view, or indication of another scale in the title block of a drawing does not affect the structure of captions of views. |
|
Transferred Components |
The group of options which allows to indicate whether the hidden and library components should be displayed by default in the following associative views: •Standard Views from Model, •Model View, •Projection View, •View in Arrow Direction, •Cut/Section. In the remaining associative views, displayed by default are the same components as in their reference views. |
|
|
A set of components displayed in the Projection view, View in Arrow Direction, or on Cut/Section may be different from the set of components in the reference view, if after creation of the reference view the setting of transfer of components was changed, or if in the model the display of some components was enabled or disabled. |
|
|
This setting only influences newly created associative views. To manage the display of components in an already created view, use the Hide component and Show component commands from the context menu of these components in the Drawing Tree. Details... |
|
Projection Method |
The group of options allows to select the projective method: Projection from the first angle or Third angle projection. The projective method defines the scheme of position of views on the drawing which are created with the Standard Views command. Selection of the projective method also affects the image of model in a view produced using the Projection View command. |
Allows to configure the displaying of associative views of the drawing.
In the future, when setting the parameters of a specific associative type, the line drawing parameters can be changed in the section Lines Parameter Panels.

Description of setting |
|
Visible lines, Hidden lines, Transition Lines, Bend lines |
The buttons allow to set the default style of drawing the respective lines in the associative view. Open the Line style settings dialog. A sample of the line is displayed in the field to the right of the button. |
|
Show |
The option controls the display of lines of a certain type in the associative view. If the option is enabled, then during creation of a new associative view – lines of a respective view will be by default shown in it, and if it is disabled, then not. The setting is available for lines of the hidden contour, transition lines, and bend lines. |
|
Draft Projection |
The option controls the draft projection of associative views of the drawing: if the option is enabled, then during creation of a view a draft projection is performed by default; if it is disabled, then not. The option is available, if the lines of hidden contour are not shown in the view – the Show option for these lines is disabled. The draft projection is performed faster than the regular but at reduced precision, which results in that the projection may omit elements which are finer as compared to the elements of the model size. For more details on the draft projection, see the table. Associative view drawing controls. |
Objects Tab
The parameters configured on this tab determine the default setting for projection and display of objects for associative views generated by the commands Standard views from model and Model View.
The default setting of associative views Projective, By Arrow and Cut/Section is the same as their parent views (i.e., does not depend on this tab).
When creating or editing any of the listed views, the setting can be changed. For this purpose the Project group is used in the section Objects on the Parameters toolbar.

Description of setting |
|
Project |
List of items whose images can be handed over from model to drawing. Enable the options near the names of items which should be projected by default into a drawing while designing Standard Views and Model View. |
|
All objects |
The option allows to enable or disable all options in the object list at once. If not all options of the list are enabled, the All objects option is displayed on a gray background. A click in the option in such a state will disable it, the next one – will enable it. |
|
Show hidden objects |
The option controls display of objects whose display in associative views is disabled. |
The parameters configured on this tab determine the default setting for transfer and creation of detailing elements for associative views generated by the Standard Views from Model and Model View commands.
The default setting for associative views Projective, Arrowed, and Cut/Section is the same as their parent views (i.e., it does not depend on the current tab).
Please note: the set of transmitted design elements can be changed both when creating a view and when editing it, and the set of created elements – only when creating a view. Groups are used Transfer and Create in the section for this purpose Objects on the Parameters toolbar.

Description of setting |
|
Transfer |
A list of detailing elements which can be handed over from a model to the drawing. Enable the options near the names of designations which should be projected by default into a drawing while designing Standard views and Model View. |
|
|
The dimensions, captions and designations handed over to the drawing can be automatically hidden – if they are hidden in the model or if on the drawing there is already at least one visible instance of this object. To control the display of individual designations use the command View — Show Hidden Designations. |
|
Create |
List of detailing elements that can be created in associative views of the drawing. Enable the options near the names of designations which should be created by default while creating Standard views and Model views. |
|
All designations |
The options allow to enable or disable all options of the relevant list of designations at once. If not all options of the list are enabled, the All designations option is displayed on a gray background. A click in the option in such a state will disable it, the next one – will enable it. |
Allows to configure the default settings of captions above associative views of original and mirrored versions (see section Notes on configuring parameters of the view caption of in the mirrored version).
The element |
Description of setting |
|
Create captions when inserting an associative view of a mirrored design |
The option controls automatic creation of captions of associative views on insertion of an associative view of the mirrored version of model. With the option enabled, captions are created, if disabled – not. Note that these captions can be added to the drawing only automatically. You can’t create them manually. |
|
Inscription template |
The field contains a template according to which a caption of associative view of the mirrored version of model is formed. The template has the following view: #<PartNo> – Mirroring The rest – see #<PartNo|Doc>, where #<PartNo> – the reference to designation of the mirrored version of model, #<PartNo|Doc> – the reference to designation of the source version of model. This template is editable. |
