Spline shape management |

When building splines By points, By poles, and also spline on surface You can manage its shape in the specified points. To do this, use the controls of the Shape Management group, which are displayed on the Parameters panel in Pipeline editing mode.
If a spline is plotted by vertices, you can modify its shape for all the vertices. If a spline is plotted by poles, you can only modify its shape in its terminal points.
You can use the following methods for shape management:
•Mating of the spline with model objects – for all kinds of splines.
•Modifying the parameters of tangent vectors in the spline points – for all kinds of splines except for spatial spline constructed by poles.
•Modifying curvature parameters — for the spatial spline, constructed by vertices.
There are some special aspects in creating the matings and changing the parameters of the tangent vectors: these special aspects depend on whether a spline was plotted in space or on a surface.

Designations of the modified shape in the graphic area
If the shape of the spline in a point is modified using a mating or a tangent vector and/or curvature, then an icon of the modification is displayed near this point. Possible icons are listed in the table.

Resetting spline control parameters
You can cancel all modifications to the spline shape, that is, delete all the applied matings and rest the settings of the tangent vectors and curvature.
To cancel modifications to the spline shape in a vertex, please do the following.
1.Select the spline point in the graphic area or in the Point parameters table to select a point in the graphic area, first switch to Pipeline editing).
2.Expand the group of elements Shape Management and click the Not Set 
button in the Method button group.
All the shape modifications for the selected points will be removed.
If you need to cancel modifications to the spline shape at all vertices, press Reset spline shape control at all vertices 
button, located above the vertex parameters table.
All the modifications of the spline shape will be deleted.
After the settings are reset, the phantom of the spline in the graphic area is rebuilt.

Please note that deleted settings of a spline shape cannot be restored. |
