Changing location of instances in array relative to base instance |
Scroll |
The position of instances in an array is defined relative to the Base Instance.
By default, the base instance number is (1, 1), see Figure a. You may change the position of the array instances relative to the base instance by setting the required number for the base instance in the array, see Figure b. To learn about array instance numbers, see section Display of an array in the model Design Tree.

Changing location of instances in array relative to base instance
(base instance is shown in white color):
a) base instance with number (1, 1); b) base instance with number (2, 2)
To specify the number of base instance, expand the Additional parameters section and enter required values into fields of Base instance group:
•The basic instance number along the first axis is the instance number By direction 1.
•By direction 2 — the instance number of the base along the second axis.
Array instances will be repositioned in such way that base instance index in the array will be as entered.
