Copying and moving cells, rows, columns among tables are possible both within one and several documents opened in one KOMPAS-3D application (including documents of different types).
|
Copying and moving cells, rows, and columns, unlike copying and moving text, is performed through own clipboard of KOMPAS-3D. |
Cells, rows, and columns are copied and moved with the parameters of font, paragraph, and text style saved.
To copy or move cells, rows, or columns from one table to another, do the following actions.
1.Enter the mode editing a table, cell, whose rows or columns need to be copied or moved.
2.Select the required range of cells, rows or columns.
3.To copy a range into the Clipboard, from the context menu fetch the Copy
command, and to cut, run the Cut
command.
4.Enter the mode of editing the table to which it is required to insert cells, rows, or columns.
5.Place the cursor at the point of copying:
•when copying cells – at the cell where the contents of the upper left cell in the buffer of the range of cells should be placed,
•when copying rows – into the row above which the rows in the buffer should be placed,
•when copying columns – at the column to the left of which the columns in the buffer should be placed.
6.Call the Insert
command from the context menu.
The cells contained in the buffer will be inserted into the table in the direction from current to the right and down from the current. The contents of cells being inserted overrides the contents of existing cells. If necessary, rows and/or columns are added into the table.
To ensure correct insertion of rows, it is necessary that both tables have identical number of columns, and for correct insertion of columns – identical number of rows. Otherwise, incomplete insertion or merged cells may occur.
If the table sizes are locked (see section Fix Table Size) or cells have text change prohibited or multiline text input restricted (see section Formatting cells), after invoking the insert command, a dialog requesting the removal of restrictions may appear on the screen. To continue insertion, click Yes, and to refuse insertion – the nanbutton.
