Notes on writing to bitmap and PDF formats

Note the following when writing to bitmap and PDF formats.

Saving to the bitmap and PDF formats follows the print-out filter settings, i.e. the resulting bitmap image will contain only those objects of the original document whose printing is enabled.

While exporting a document to PDF format, values of the properties Designation, Name, Material, Mass, and Author are transferred.

While exporting a model into the PDF format, solids and surfaces are transferred.

If a document contains texts made in vector fonts, then in the resulting pdf document:

These texts are not displayed if the export is performed on a computer running Windows 7;

Vector fonts are replaced with TrueType fonts if the export is performed on a computer running Windows 10 or later.

Notes on writing to EMF format

EMF format Supports both vector and bitmap graphics.

The bitmap image in the EMF format files is formed as a result of export from KOMPAS-3D the following documents and objects:

assemblies (*.a3d),

parts (*.m3d),

color fills, bitmap insertions and OLE objects in graphic documents.

In other cases, a vector image is formed in the EMF format files.

When importing EMF files to other graphic formats later, the Cyrillic letters may not be displayed correctly. In this case, we recommended to use Unicode fonts in the original KOMPAS-documents.
