Operation Application Area |
Scroll |
The operation application area is a set of objects which should be transformed as a result of the operation. This set is formed if the option selected as the result of the operation Merging, Subtraction or Intersection. More details on the operation result...
To define the operation application area, determine the type of objects that make it up and select the necessary objects. These actions are performed using elements of the Application area of the Parameter Panel.
|
Application area Section is absent on the Parameter Panel if the result of the operation is New solid. |
To set the type of objects included in the operation application area, click the desired button in the group Group of objects. The following options are available:
Components and solids (default option) — the operation will apply to the model components and to the solids constructed in the model,
Components — the effect of the operation will only apply to the model components,
Solids – the effect of the operation will only apply to solids constructed in the model.
Formation of a set of objects
The formation of a set of objects (solids and / or components) within the operation application area is executed in various ways. To select the desired method, use the group of buttons Objects. The following options are available:
Auto Determination,
All objects,
All except from library,
Selected objects.
The first three options allow you to automatically create a set of objects that make up the area. In this case, only objects with which the element created by the operation intersects will be included in the set. The shape of these objects will change due to the addition or removal of the material of the created element (depending on result of the operation).
The option Selected objects allows you to manually generate a list of objects that make up the operation application area. This list can include objects both crossing and not intersecting the created item. The shape of objects that intersect with the created element change. Objects that do not have intersections are simply present in the selected list (their shape does not change).
