Procedure of creating a group of components with the same position |

Creating a group of components in an assembly consists in creating a new (or selecting an existing) group and incorporating the required components from different versions.
Follow these steps to create a group of components in the assembly with the same position.
1.Enable the display of the Groups of components toolbar

2.Select the required group from the list of groups or create a new one using the Create group
button in the toolbar header of the Groups of components toolbar. After clicking the button, a new group is added to the list of toolbar groups and becomes the current group.
3.Change the name of the group as required. To do this, click the Edit Group Name
button in the header of the Groups of components toolbar, enter the desired text in the group list box, and press the <Enter> key.
4.Add the necessary components to the group.
Follow these steps to add a component to a group.
•Make current the version of the assembly whose component you want to include in the group.
•Select this component in the Design Tree and click Add to Group
button {1}in the header of the Groups of components toolbar.
The designation of the selected component and the designation of the assembly containing its version will appear in the main part of the toolbar.
Add all the necessary components to the group in the same manner.
5.Save the model
to ensure that information about component groups is written to the model file.
All components added to the same group will have the same reference number in the BOM for different versions of the assembly.
