Creating a group of components

in the header of the Groups of components toolbars. The created group with the default name is added to the list of groups and automatically becomes the current one.
The new group contains no components, so their list is empty.
Editing a component group
To change the name of a group of components, follow the steps described below using the elements of the header of the Groups of components toolbars.
1.Select the required group in the group list. This will become the current group.
2.Press the Edit Group Name
button. The text of the group name in the list box will be highlighted.
3.Enter the desired group name in the list box.
4.Press <Enter>.
After changing the group name, its position in the group list remains the same.
Deleting a component group
To delete the current component group, click Delete group
in the header of the Groups of components toolbars.
If you want to completely clear the list of groups, click the
icon on the right side of the header and invoke the Delete all groups command.
Deleting a component group from an assembly means only deleting information about the group from the file. Components that were included in the group, remain in the assembly in their places.
Adding components to a group
To add a component to the current group, select it in the Design Tree and click Add to group
in the header of the Groups of components toolbar.
The component will be added to the list of components of the current group. Its designation and the designation of the assembly containing its version will appear in the main part of the toolbar.
If the component being added pertains to another group, it will be automatically removed from this group.
|
Usually, the group includes components from different versions of the assembly, but if necessary, you can group components of a single version, as well as create groups of components in assemblies without versions. |
Deleting components from the group
To remove a component from the current group, select it in the Groups of components toolbars and click Remove from group
in the header of the panel.
