If you forgot to switch the symbols case in due time (i.e. you entered several characters in capitals instead of lower case letter, or vice versa), select the mistyped fragment and press the keyboard shortcut:
•convert to uppercase — <Ctrl> + <Shift> + <U>,
•convert to lower case — <Ctrl> + <Shift> + <D>.
