Section path |

The following can be used as the sections When building Element by path For this you can use:
•spatial curve (or a separate segment of a multi-segment curve),
•sketch lines:
•A line with style Main or a segment of such a line obtained as a result of intersection with other lines with style Main,
•segment with the Axis,
•centerline,
•edge,
•a chain of the above objects in any combination.
To define the path of the section, specify the necessary objects in the order they are connected. The name of the selected object (objects) is displayed in the field Path on the Parameter Panel.
If a polyline (or its segment) needs to be used as a trajectory, and it does not exist in the model, you can build it without interrupting the command execution. To do this, click the Broken line button
to the right of the Path field. Will start Process of creating a broken line. Perform the necessary actions to construct a polyline (if the created polyline will be a section of a path, it must adjoin another object or objects that are part of the path). Complete the process of creating the polyline. The system will return to the original operation. The generated polyline will be automatically added to the objects that comprise the trajectory, and its name will appear in the Path field.

The specified section may be located at any point of the trajectory. The resulting element is constructed along the entire length of the path regardless of the position of the section. |
Requirements for the trajectory of the section's movement
•The path can be closed and open.
•If the path is closed, it must intersect the section plane. For a flat closed path, it is sufficient that the plane in which the path lies intersects the section plane.
•If the path is open, it must intersect the section plane. In some cases, (for example, while creating with a motion type Orthogonal to Path
), you can use a trajectory lying in the section plane.
|
If the trajectory consists of multiple segments (a chain of objects), then for constructing an element with Changing section shape It is necessary that the path segments connect tangentially. |
Requirements to the solid path (when cutting with a solid by path):
•The path should be open.
•The starting or ending point of the path should be located inside the solid used as a cutting tool.
