Specifying objects to build a contour |
Scroll |
You may select objects depending on the specified type of contour.
To construct Arbitrary Contour
or a contour for which Auto-type determination
is enabled, you can specify any objects used for constructing the contour — spatial curves, separate segments of multi-segment curves, edges of bodies or surfaces, sketch lines/segments of sketch lines (see the section Using sketches in operations), previously created contours. Objects must connect sequentially and not form self-intersections.
To plot a Contour on a face
, please select an edge of the face that should be included in the contour. One of the faces containing the edge is highlighted. Specify all the edges of the selected face for the contour.
To build the Sketch Contour
, specify in the graphic area the consecutively connected lines of the same sketch.
If a line with the style Main intersects another line with the style Main, then the segments resulting from the intersection of these lines are selected as independent objects.
If required, you can specify the sketch itself, instead of sketch objects, in the Design Tree. In this case, the choice of sketch lines has the following features:
•If the sketch contains only sequentially connected lines (no intersections), then all lines of the sketch are selected.
•If the sketch has intersections, then a certain number of lines forming a consecutive connection is selected. The set of lines is determined by the system.
Names of the objects selected to build a contour are displayed in the Objects field on the Parameters toolbar.
If needed, you may refuse to select an object. To do that, remove its name from the Objects field or click on the object in the graphical area. If the object is an extreme object, then only that object will be excluded from the contour, and if not, then the object itself and all subsequent objects will be excluded.

If automated processing of nonbranching nodes is included in the operation, both the object itself and the neighboring objects connected by nonbranching nodes are selected when specifying an object. More details on methods of passing nonbranching nodes... |
