Using sketches in operations |
Scroll |
Sketches and their elements can be used as sections, guiding objects, intersecting objects, and more.
Outside of the sketch mode, not all graphical objects built in the sketch are displayed on the screen, but only those that are on the current and active layers (a sketch can contain several layers, like a fragment, see the section Layers) and have one of the following types and/or styles:
•point,
•centerline,
•line with the style Main or a segment of such a line, obtained as a result of intersection with other lines with the Main style,
•segment with the Axis line style.
When performing an operation using a sketch, such operation will apply only to the graphic objects that are visible outside of the sketch mode.
Dimensions in the sketch are available when performing an operation, as well as after activation of the special mode of displaying dimensions.

Thus, if construction objects are required to build an image in the sketch, which should not be considered when performing the operation, use a line style different from Main and Axis. Dimensions that should not be visible outside of sketch mode should be moved to a hidden layer. |
In the operations of building geometric elements (depending on the requirements), you can use the following:
•entire sketch,
•specific objects designed in the sketch,
•closed areas bounded by sketch contours or formed by their intersection.
