To move a component in an arbitrary direction, use the Move Component command.

After the command is invoked, the cursor will change its shape to a four-sided arrow .

Step-by-step instructions

1.Select the component moving mode by clicking the desired button in the Modes group on the Parameter Panel:

Simple Displacement – moving without additional actions,

Auto matings – moving with automatic overlaying of matings,

Collision detection — moving with collision detection of components.

2.Place the cursor on the component to be moved. A face, edge, or vertex of the component, that is under the cursor, is highlighted.

Moving fixed components is not possible. Their objects are not highlighted when hovering the cursor.

3.Press the left mouse button and, holding it, move the cursor.

If the movement in a given direction is not impeded by fixation and overlaid matings, then the component will move in that direction. When the desired position of the component is reached, release the mouse button.

4.To complete operation of the command, click Finish .
