KOMPAS-3D allows you to change the position of components in the model and copy them.

To change the position of the component, use the following methods:

moving a component using a special command,

moving a component using the mouse,

rotating a component by a special command.

When moving and rotating a component, keep the following in mind.

The position of the fixed component cannot be changed. In the Design Tree, a fixed component is marked with . For more details on fixing components...

Changing the position of a component may be restricted or prohibited by matings overlaid on that component. More details on mating...

If a component can be moved or rotated (for example, components located coaxially can move along their common axis and rotate around it), then it is marked in the Design Tree with a "-" in parentheses.

If a component cannot be moved or rotated (for example, a component whose coordinate planes coincide with the coordinate planes of the model), then it is marked in the Design Tree with a "+" in parentheses.

After changing the position of a component, its icon in the Design Tree is marked with a special icon . This indicates the need to rebuild the model. More about rebuilding the model...
