Creating variant of the geometric representation of the model is performed in theTree of versions and variants. The variant can be created for any execution, exceptfor mirrored one.
Step-by-step instructions
1.Specify the version that should serve as the base for the variant being created.
2.Invoke the Create variant
command. The variant parametrization elements will appear in the Parameter Panel.
3.In the Name field, enter the name of the created variant. By default, it includes the "Variant" text and the serial number.
|
The name of a variant matches the Variant of geometric representation property. Further on, you can change the name by editing the value of this property. You can also rename the variant in the tree using the Rename command from the context menu or the <F2> key. |
4.Choose the required method from the Method of CMP calculation list. The following options are available:
According to the original version
The mass-centering characteristics of the variant are considered to be the characteristics calculated for the initial version.
By density
For CMP calculation, the density value is specified.
By mass
For CMP calculation, the mass value is specified.
You can also change the method of CMP calculation and set the corresponding parameters after creating the variant — using the Variant propertiescommand.
5.Configure the color and visual properties of the created variant using the elements of the Properties section.
6.Complete the creation of the variant by clicking Create Object
.
After executing the command, a new variant appears in the Versions and Variants tree. It becomes current automatically.
6.Similarly, create all the required model variants.
|
You can also create a model variant by working with the Design Tree of its construction. To do this, from the context menu of the root element in the Tree, invoke the Create Variant command. Further steps are similar to those described above. |
The created variant inherits the geometry, detailing elements, set of variables and property values from the original version of the model.
