Editing images in a sketch

Scroll

You can edit the image in any sketch of the model.

Step-by-step instructions

1.Start editing of the sketch.

The system will switch to the sketch mode. In the graphics area of the model only the objects that precede the edited sketch in the Design Tree will remain. In other words, the model temporarily returns to the state in which it was at the time of creation of the edited sketch.

2.Perform all necessary steps to edit the image in the sketch.

Modify the sketch geometry as required; meanwhile, you can perform any constructions, edit graphic objects, project existing objects into the sketch (edges, faces, etc.), and snap to model objects.

If the position of the objects in the sketch is determined by associative dimensions, you can enter new values of these dimensions.

It is also possible to apply and delete parametric constraints. In this case, the status of the objects and the sketch itself will change. More about changing the status of the sketch and its objects...

Remember that the sketch for the operation must meet certain requirements. These requirements should be observed not only when creating, but also when editing sketches. Specific requirements for sketches can be found in the sections describing the operations.

3.Close the sketch mode. To do that, click Create Sketch on the Quick Access Toolbar, or click the sketch mode icon in the graphic area, or run the Create Sketch command from the context menu.

The object formed on the basis of the sketch, and its children will be rearranged in accordance with the sketch contour changes.

Any editing of the sketch that would prevent the children from rebuilding should be avoided.
