Coincidence of two selected objects is set by the Coincidence command.

Step-by-step instructions

1.Specify the first and the second object you want to set as coincident. Objects can be faces, edges, vertices, axes, etc.

You can select mating objects before invoking a command.

If the shape of the specified objects and the existing matings do not prevent the coincidence, then the model will be rebuilt, and after that the specified objects (or their continuations) will coincide. The names of the selected objects will appear in the Object 1 and Object 2 fields on the Parameters Panel.

Coincidence of the coordinate systems of two components means coincidence of the axes and planes with the same names in these coordinate systems. Therefore, after overlaying such a mating on the components they become fixed relative to each other. The coordinate systems should be specified in the Design Tree.

2.To complete creating the mating, click Create object .

After that, the mating is overlaid on the specified objects, and the corresponding icon appears in the Feature Tree.

3.In some cases, different placement options for mating objects are possible, where the condition of their coincidence will be fulfilled. In such cases, the Parameters Toolbar will contain the Reverse Orientation option. You can change location of an object by enabling or disabling this option. Details...
