For automatically applying constraints of some types to geometric objects, the Add Constraints command is used.

Automatic parametrization of objects in associative views that preserve associations with the models is impossible.

Step-by-step instructions

1.Select objects for applying constraints to. To do this, specify the required objects in the Object selection Select the required objects and click Create Object .

Names of the selected objects will appear in the Objects field on the Parameter Panel.

If objects are specified before running the Parametrization of Objects command, then the objects selection sub-process will not be started. The system immediately jumps to execution of the parametrization command.

2.Use elements on the Parameter Panel to configure objects parametrization. See the table for description of elements.

Controls for setting parametrization of objects

The element

Description

Group of elements Linear Constraints

Tolerance, mm

Field for entering the value of linear tolerance to non-coincidence of points (in millimeters).

Point Coincidence

The option allows to apply the Point Coincidence constraint to object handles. When this option is enabled, the constraint is applied to points of objects, the distance between which is less than the linear tolerance value.

Group of elements Angular Constraints

Tolerance, deg

Field for entering the tolerance to angular deviations (in degrees).

Horizontality

Verticality

Parallel

Perpendicular

Options allow you to apply the Verticality, Horizontality, Parallelism, and Perpendicularity constraints to straight-line objects.

When the Horizontality and Verticality options are enabled, parameterized objects will become horizontal or vertical if their horizontal or vertical deviation angle is less than the angular tolerance.

With the options Parallel and Perpendicular enabled, objects will become parallel or perpendicular if they are parallel or perpendicular with an angular tolerance less than specified in the field Tolerance, deg.

3.After completing parametrization of objects, click Create Object button.
