A table of versions can be created in the following ways:

when working with a model – the current model is used to create the table; the table is placed in a graphic document (drawing or fragment) or in a text document;

when working with a drawing containing associative views from a model, the model-source of the selected associative view is used to create the table; the table is placed in the current drawing.

If the table is placed in a drawing, it is added to the view that is current at the time the table was created.

Step-by-step instructions

1.Open the model or drawing containing the associative view from the model.

2.Call the Create table of versions command.

The table creation controls will appear on the Parameter toolbar. In addition, a dialog will open automatically Table of versions parameters, allowing you to configure the appearance of the table.

When working with a drawing, you can select an associative view, the source model of which will be used to create the table. You can choose the view both with the active command and before the command is called.

If no view is selected by the user, the current associative view will be selected automatically to create the table. If the current view is not associative, it cannot be selected. To run the command, you need to specify the view manually.

3.Using the drop-down list in the dialog select the type of the created table – Table of versions.

Table type can also be selected on the Parameter Toolbar. For this purpose use theTable type dropdown list.

4.Using the dialog controls, configure the table parameters – displayed properties, row height, value display parameters, etc. Click Apply to complete the configuration process. More details on setting execution table parameters...

If required, you can re-open the settings dialog by clicking Set table style... next to the field Table type of the Parameter Panel.

5.To generate the number of the table of versions automatically, place it in one of the numbering groups. To do this, select the name of the desired group from the Numbering drop-down list. The table number is generated in accordance with the position of the table in the group and the numbering parameters configured for this group (to learn about automatic numbering of objects, see section Auto-numbering and auto-sorting of objects).

6.Set the order for displaying the designations of versions in the table using the Full symbols option:

if this option is enabled, the full designation of each version is displayed in the table,

if this option is disabled, then for the first version the full designation is displayed in the table, and for the other versions only the numbers are displayed.

7.Check the status of the Associative table option.

If this option is enabled, the version table will be associated with the data source document. If the values of the properties of the versions in the source document are changed, these changes can be transferred to the version table.

If this option is disabled, a non-associative version table is created. In this case, the data modified in the source document is not transferred to the table.

Note the following when creating a table of versions for the model.

Unless the model is saved to a file on disk, you can’t create a table of versions associated with it. In this case, the Associative table option is not displayed on the Parameter Panel.

An associative table can only be placed in a graphic document. When placed in a text document, the table becomes non-associative, regardless of the state of the option.
