Managing and editing the table of versions |

The version table can be associated or non-associated to the data source. The table associativity is configured when you create it. You can undo the associativity of the created table as described in section Removing associativity from a report, but it is not possible to make a non-associative table associative.
The table appearance and operations with the table of versions depend on its associativity.
•A non-associative version table looks like a regular table. If it is split into several tables, then all of them are separate tables.
When you working with a non-associative table, you can use typical table operation commands.
•An associative table of versions is displayed similarly to an associative report in an additional outer frame indicated by a dotted line. If it is split into several tables, then all these tables are a single object and are displayed in a common frame.
For an associative table, both standard commands (for example, cutting, copying, changing the style), and special commands similar to the commands for working with an associative report are available. You can update the data in the associative table, open the source document for editing objects, and change the table snap point. These actions are similar to those described in sections Edit and Updating Tables.
In addition, you can set the name of the associative table. To do this, select it and invoke Name... command from the context menu. A dialog to enter the names of the tables will appear on the screen. See section Names and numbering of tables for details.
The process of editing the table of versions can be launched by the corresponding command from the context menu or by double clicking on the table.
•To edit a non-associative table, use the standard Edit
command. When open, the process of table parameters setting is lunched, and the fields of the table in the graphic area of the document become available for input. In this mode, you can change the table data and appearance using all the standard methods of table editing.
•To edit an associative table, use the Edit table command. When open (or by double-clicking on the outer frame of the table), the process of changing the parameters of the table of versions is started. When editing a table of versions, all the same opearions are avalable as during its creation, except for the enabling/disabling of associativity (an option that controls table associativity is not present on the Parameters panel).
You can also edit the contents of an associative table using the standard methods of editing tables. To do this, double-click in any place of the table, except for the dotted frame. We recommend performing this editing operation after you set the table style in the Table of versions parameters dialog. This dialog is invoked when creating or editing the table. This is due to the fact that after changing the parameters in this dialog (for example, changing a set of columns), the table is re-created, thus all the changes made in the graphic area of the document will be lost.
