The following methods of editing an associative report are possible.

Editing objects in the document source.

To do this, run the Open source document command from the context menu of the selected item in the report document. After the command is called, the document from which the report was obtained will be displayed on screen. Change any objects in the source document as needed. These changes will affect all the associative reports that were created from this document’s objects.

Update these reports in the documents (see section Updating Tables).

Editing a report in the Data Processing window.

To do this, run the Edit in the Data Processing Window command from the context menu of the selected report in the document. This command may also be called by double–clicking the external frame of the report.

After the command is called, the report will be displayed in the Data Processing Window mode. The controls for changing the report style, the detailing, cell contents etc. will be available in the window.

Repeat the same actions as when a report is created (see section Grouping the report lines).

To confirm the changes, press the Create Report button in the header of the Parameter Panel.

When editing a report, it is not possible to control the method of displaying data in the form of links, to cancel the associativity of the report, or to change the placement parameters.

Changing the snap point of the report.

To do this, run the Change the snap point command from the context menu, selected in the report document. After the command is called, a process is started in which you may select another snap point.

Editing the report table directly in the document where the report it is placed.

Double–click the report (not the dotted frame) to enter the table editing mode. In this mode, all the methods of working with tables are available (see section Working procedures).

Any editing of a report performed on the document field will be cancelled by subsequent re–designing of the report in the Data Processing Window, for example, when the style is changed. This is caused by the fact that any re–designing involves a re–creation of the report.

Therefore, when editing a report, it is recommended first to perform all the operations related to its re–designing or updating, and then to make changes to the text: either in the Data Processing Window or in the document.
