In Data Processing Window the following actions with object strings are available:

Row insertion,

Row copying,

Delete Rows,

Moving rows up and down,

Moving rows to the start of a page.

Before performing any operation with a row you should first select the row. The ways of selecting rows are described below.

The controls of the Data Processing Window also allow to control the grouping of report lines and hide rows that do not need to be included in the report.

Selecting rows

You may need to select report rows in the process editing a report (to delete, copy, insert or move rows in the table) or creating a report from separate rows.

There are multiple ways of selecting rows.

A single row is selected by clicking it.

Multiple rows are selected by clicking them with the <Ctrl> key pressed.

A repeated click on a selected row cancels its selection.

A range of rows is selected by holding down the <Shift> key and clicking the starting and ending row of the range. If a range starts from the first row, then click the ending row with the <Shift> key held.

You may also select a range in the required direction using the keyboard shortcut <Shift>+<↑>/<↓>.

To change the borders of selection for a range of rows, click on a new ending row with the <Shift> key pressed.

Clicking an empty row cancels the current selection.

You can select rows only if the report detailing display is disabled (see section Working modes in the Data Processing window).

Row insertion

It is possible to insert a row anywhere in the report table.

To do this, Select Row below which insertion is required.

The Insert row below command is used to insert a row.

After this command is called, a row is inserted. The text editing mode in which you can enter text is started simultaneously. See section Editing a report row.

To leave an unfilled row, click any row after an insertion is done and use the following keyboard shortcut: <Ctrl>+<Enter> or press <Esc>.

The Insert Row Below command is available when a report is displayed without detailing.

Row copying

You may insert a copy of the selected row into the report.

First, select the row that needs to be copied.

The Copy Row command is then used to create a copy.

An identical row will be added below the selected row.

The Copy Row command is available when a report is displayed No Detailing.

Delete Rows

You may delete selected rows from the report.

To do this, select row which you want to delete.

To delete a row, use the Delete row command.

After this command is called, the selected row is deleted from the report.

The Delete Row command is available when a report is displayed No Detailing.

Moving rows up and down

A selected row of the report may be moved up or down.

To do this, select the row (range of rows) which you want to delete.

Moving rows is performed using the Shift row up /down command.

The Shift Row command is available when the report is displayed without detailing.

Moving rows to the start of a page

You may move all rows, starting with the selected row, to the start of the next page.

To do this, select the line to begin a new page with.

To move the rows to the start of the page, use the command. The new section begins from a new page .

It is possible to return the rows to the page where they used to be: first, select the row to which the Next Page command had been applied. You will see that the button that calls this command is in the "pressed" state. Call the Next Page command again.

The Page Break command is available when the report is displayed No Detailing.

Grouping the report lines

A report may be created in a grouped or ungrouped form.

To enable and disable the report lines grouping, use the Group command.

By default, a report is grouped. Therefore, any objects with identical properties in a report will be represented by a single resultant row.

A sign that the report is grouped is the pressed Group button on the Toolbar.

Grouping parameters can be configured in the report style.

To view or change the grouping parameters, press the Set report style... to the right of the field Style... in the Parameter panel of the Data Processing Window. On the screen, there will appear the report style setup dialog. The cells of the Grouping row are used to set up the grouping. More details on configuring the grouping parameters...

Configuration changes made in the dialog are automatically applied to the report displayed in the Data processing window.

If you want to disable grouping of report rows, release the Group button or fetch the command with the same name.

Canceling the grouping also cancels hiding of rows (see the next section for information on hiding rows).

Hiding rows

You may hide some of the rows, which will not be included in the report. To that end, select lines that should be shown in the report, and invoke the Hide All Lines Except Highlighted command.

After the command is invoked, the report will contain only the selected lines. You can place the resulting report in the document or print it.

Report editing is not possible in the hidden row mode.

In order to make all the rows visible again, run the Hide All Lines Except Highlightedcommand again.
