Enabling and Disabling Item Display in BOM Table

Scroll

By default, display in BOM table is enabled for all BOM items. You can disable display in BOM table for individual items, if needed. Those items will be "softly deleted" from the BOM, i. e. removed temporarily with the possibility to restore them. For example, in this way you can remove from a BOM document one or more items transferred to it from the attached drawings and models (you cannot delete them from the BOM in a usual way).

A special BOM display mode is provided to view all hidden BOM items and to enable display for them.

You can manage the display mode for BOM items only in BOM document. In the subordinate mode of working with BOM items this option is not provided.

To hide a BOM item, do the following:

1.Place the cursor on the item that needs to be hidden, open the context menu and select the Hide command from it.

The item over which the cursor was located will disappear from the table.

2.If the numbering sequence is distorted due to hiding the item, run the Set Ref. Nos command .

If you hide the last (or the only) item in a section, the section becomes hidden from the BOM too.

To restore the normal display mode for hidden BOM items, do the following:

1.click Display All Hidden Objects button .

The system starts the mode for viewing hidden items, i. e. only hidden items will be seen in BOM table instead of currently selected for viewing. Just like normal visible items, the hidden ones are sorted and arranged in sections.

2.Hover the cursor over the item that needs to be shown, invoke the context menu, and select the Show command.

The item over which the cursor was located will disappear from the set of hidden items.

3.click Display All Hidden Objects button again to return to the set of visible BOM items.

The special mode for showing hidden items will be disabled and the table will again show visible BOM items.

4.If the numbering sequence becomes distorted as a result of returning a hidden item, run the Set Ref.Nos. command .

If there is no hidden item in the BOM, the Display All Hidden Objects command is unavailable.

A BOM may contain duplicate items. They are grouped and shown as one row automatically, with display of the number of duplicates in the Quantity column. You can expand such a group and hide any items from it, as described earlier, if needed. Hiding an item is equivalent to its removal, therefore the number in the Quantity column for the group will decrease.
