Creating a BOM based on data contained in the document

Scroll

After attaching document to BOM, in it, BOM items corresponding to the constituent parts of the product which the document is released for are created. BOM items are generated and displayed according to the following rules:

The set of components, the data on which will be displayed in the BOM, depends on two parameters of the constituent part:

Include into BOM attribute
this attribute is controlled by the Include into BOM option in the properties of the component; if the option is disabled, data about this component will not appear in any BOM.

Attribute of using a certain style in the BOM
this attribute is controlled by the Apply in current BOM description in the BOM object settings in the subordinate mode; if the option is disabled, this object will not be displayed in the BOM with the style included in the current BOM description.

The BOM section where the object will be placed is determined by the value of the BOM section property of the corresponding constituent part of the product (in fact, this property contains the section number and subsection, if applicable subsections are present).
There is an exception to this rule: if the BOM has a single section, then it displays data on all the constituent parts of the product, regardless of the value of the property. The BOM section includes these constituent parts.

The particular property of the constituent part displayed in the BOM and its column in the BOM depends on the BOM style (a property linked with the column is displayed in the Link to property list when setting up graph).

If there are several identical constituent parts in a product, a BOM item is created for each of them, i.e. duplicate objects, which by default are displayed as one row with the quantity specified in the appropriate column.
