Basics of working with layer sets

Filter of layers is a dynamic group of layers whose properties conform to the filtering criteria. For example, you can create a group of layers to which the violet color is assigned, or layers whose names begin with the letter "c".

The filtering criteria are set separately for each filter of layers when it is created or edited.

After the filter is created, the system automatically add into it all layers satisfying the conditions set for the filter (checking these conditions is done within the given view, if the filter is created for a view, or within the whole document if the filter is created for a document).

The set of layers for a filter dynamically changes when changing properties of layers in the graphic document, as well as when changing the filtering conditions.

The properties of layers included in the filter can be changes both individually and within the filter. This does not change the filtering criteria set for the given filter. More details on changing properties of layers included in the filter...

Filters can be transformed into Groups of layers (see Section Convert filter to group).

Filters are the named objects. By default, during creating a filter . a name consisting of the word "Filter" and the sequence number is assigned to it. This name can be changed. In the Document tree, the layer filter is marked by a special icon .
