Configuring the Tool Area of various types |
Scroll |
Several types of Tool Areas are implemented in KOMPAS-3D. They correspond to the types of documents (part, assembly, drawing, etc.) and to some operation modes (subordinate mode of working with BOMs, mode of editing Technical specifications, etc.).
Tool Areas of various types have different composition of toolbar sets. Some of them have no sets at all, for example, a Tool Area of the text document is a single row in which toolbars with commands are located.
When you switch to the Interface setting mode In the system window, the Tool Area that corresponds to the document type is displayed. (document mode),in which the setting was started. Changing the structure of thesets in the mode will apply to this type of the Tool Area only. Thus, to configure the structure of the Tool Area of a certain type, start the interface settings mode from the corresponding document (document mode).
When you set up the current Tool Area, you can use toolbars and toolbar setsincluded in Tool Areas of other types. Use the Tool Area Constructor.

When you configure the Tool Areas that do not contain sets, only the toolbars and commands are used. |
The same toolbar set can be included in Tool Areas of various types. In this case, it is enough to set up a set in one of the Tool Areas. The changes made will be transferred to all Tool Areas where this set is used.
